'Thugs' beat up rector's son then glorified it in a rap song

Thugs who battered a priest's son to a bloody pulp bragged about the
attack in a rap song on the Internet. Willem Haymaker, 17, was beaten
unconscious during an unprovoked assault by 15 youths in a park.

Now they have boasted about their crime in a rap song posted on the
social networking site Bebo. The lyrics include lines about how they
'punched him in the face and then smacked his ribs, threw him up
against the fence and then smacked him again'. They continue, 'He was
finished, his whole f*** ing face was diminished, but we didn't seem
to fit the f*** er up...so we stamped, and stamped and stamped again.

Bexhill's Conservative MP Greg Barker refused to condemn the song
about the attack which happened just days after Tory leader David
Cameron launched his 'love a lout' campaign.

And when he goes on to say (unfortunately only too typical of most
new-politic speak nowadays)... "These kids coming together to make a rap is
probably the only positive thing that some of them have done for a long
time.'Is there another way of channelling them towards positive behaviour so
that they can make use of the fact that they can sing and have an interest
in music. I want to try to see a glass half full rather than the negatives
of this.".. then you know that this country is now well and truly fucked.
